ella holmsen

2018

Ella’s interest in paediatric rehabilitation stemmed from volunteering at Healthy Strides
Foundation in her last year of high school. This inspired a keen interest in paediatric physiotherapy, specifically working with children with neurological conditions.

2019 - 2022

Ella followed her passion of helping children with disabilities and started her studies at
Notre Dame University, Perth Western Australia, as a Physiotherapist.

A university placement at Perth Children’s Hospital reinforced Ella’s passion for paediatrics. In her final year of study (2022), Ella began working as an Allied Health Assistant for the Healthy Strides Foundation. Here she was introduced to the world of research - intertwined with the clinical application of that research and developed a passion for using evidence-based practice to maximise the benefits children get from therapy.

2023

After graduating from Notre Dame university with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Ella joined the Healthy Strides team via our new graduate program as a fully fledged Physiotherapist! She has a passion for bringing children joy and helping them reach their goals so they can find their own joy outside the therapy environment  - as well as promoting inclusivity and encouraging participation in the community.
