A FREE app, available on both Android and iOS
You told us that an app that helped families to discover local Perth parks, playgrounds, sporting and community facilities - based around accessibility and participation needs would be a vital tool and we set out to build such an app.
Focused on providing a carefully cultivated list of parks and playgrounds, version 1.0 of the app gives detailed photos, reviews and ratings by our therapy team, search and filter options (for accessibility, play and safety), location and search nearby options, a handy interactive map and user and family review sections. A user profile even saves your favourites and allows you to recommend parks to other families too!
It was designed in consultation with families - the user interface, the details, the filtering and navigation system and the upcoming updates in 2023 will continue to be guided by the user and family experience!
It's FREE to download onto your smartphone of choice today!
Please reach us at info@healthystridesfoundation.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
No - neither authentication, email nor location tracking data is accessed, collected or passed to third parties.
In the Participate app, you will be able to click on your user profile and at the bottom of the page you will find a link to delete all user data. Beware, this cannot be undone. This deletes your profile, reviews and any other information pertaining to your user account.

A seminal paper was released in 2025 regarding the state of the evidence when it comes to manual facility techniques.
"Where’s the Evidence? Challenging Therapists to Stop Legitimizing Dynamic Movement Intervention and Cuevas Medek Exercises".
From well respected members of the Oceania (formerly AusACPDM), American (AACPDM) and European Academies , this open access paper calls on therapists to implement more evidence based practices.
Endorsed by the APTA, CanChild, Yale School of Medicine - there is now a groundswell of support advocating for moving away from interventions like CME and DMI.
