A World Class Clinical Research Nexus

We are happy to announce a research partnership between Curtin University and The Heathy Strides Foundation.

What this means for our clients, is that by developing a world class research alliance - we will continue to stay at the forefront of the latest clinical developments.

This partnership will see continued Research and Development, along with education and training of tertiary students taking place under an alliance that aims to collaborate to increase the outcomes from research, education and community activities carried out jointly.

This now "creates an affiliation that links Curtin University and The Healthy Strides Foundation to jointly improve the lives of children and young adults with disabilities and their families by enhancing existing capabilities and further developing a world class clinical research-nexus".

The intention is to "grow the capacity of WA and national research, student experience and practice and thereby the reputation of both institutions".

WA leads the way for innovative research in the intensive therapy space and this joint agreement with Curtin University allows us to lean on their expertise and experience and for The Healthy Strides Foundation to have significant influence and shaping of future research and education in WA and Australia.

"Where’s the Evidence? Challenging Therapists to Stop Legitimizing Dynamic Movement Intervention and Cuevas Medek Exercises".

From well respected members of the Oceania (formerly AusACPDM), American (AACPDM) and European Academies , this open access paper calls on therapists to implement more evidence based practices.

Endorsed by the APTA, CanChild, Yale School of Medicine - there is now a groundswell of support advocating for moving away from interventions like CME and DMI.
