Bio
Alyson is a highly skilled executive administrative professional. Her educational achievements include a double major in Journalism and Political Studies from Curtin University as well as distinguished results in her post graduate studies.
A published author and successful small business owner, her professional endeavours showcase her versatility and adaptability, with a career distinguished by decades of service in the not for profit sector, education, health, and the public sector.
Alyson brings to Healthy Strides years of experience in the not for profit sector, with a background that includes both executive level administrative support to senior leaders and area directors. Her early career was spent as a youth worker and mentor to teenagers before moving into administration.
As a specialist curriculum administrator, Alyson has worked in several outstanding private schools in Western Australia providing advisory and curriculum-related liaison across multiple platforms. These roles required an outstanding ability to operate with precision to solve academic and curriculum tasks of significant complexity. In the tertiary education sector, her roles have included sessional lecturer, course coordinator and administration roles.
For the last 11 years, Alyson has enjoyed varied and challenging roles providing executive administrative support to school principals. Most recently she was employed as Executive Assistant to the Chief Finance Officer of North Metro Health, Assistant to the Head of Pulmonary Physiology and Sleep Medicine at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and ministerial support at the Department of the Premier and Cabinet.
Alyson is the mother of two wonderful young adults and the wife of one passionate West Coast Eagles supporter.
Having watched every step and applauded every achievement and offering of the Healthy Strides Foundation since its inception five years ago, she is delighted to bring her skills and experience to the role of Administration Manager at HSF and looks forward to meeting you very soon.
