Meagan is an experienced Allied Health Assistant with a demonstrated history of working in the field for five and a half years. She was involved in research carried out at Princess Margaret Hospital, supporting and assisting young children with cerebral palsy to improve function and mobility through intensive rehabilitation, locomotor training and functional electrical stimulation.
Meagan previously worked in the aged care sector where she worked with a multidisciplinary team to rehabilitate clients back into the community and improve quality of life. Meagan is passionate about working with people and most importantly building relationships and contributing her time to her work and the wider community.

Meagan is passionate about the importance of evidence-based rehabilitation, research, meaningful participation and inclusion. She loves creating a fun and safe environment to promote independence and celebrate successes.
Meagan values the importance of professional development and networking in the Allied Health community. In November 2020, Meagan was awarded the Best Innovation Presentation by the 2020 AHA Organising Committee at the Monash Health Allied Health Assistant Conference.
Since then Meagan has been motivated to use her skills in communication to promote Key Word Sign (KWS) at Healthy Strides. She has been busy up skilling staff and incorporating KWS into every session at Healthy Strides. Meagan believes in the power of communication and the important role it plays for therapists, families and children to be able to communicate their needs and wants.
