Speech Pathology

The Speech Pathology components are considered an adjunct program to our main Intensive Therapy programs STRIDE, ACTIVATE and REACH. The adjunct will also be available for our PITS and Custom/Bespoke programs.

NB. At this time, speech pathology is offered in a multi-disciplinary environment and not as a standalone offering.

Plus and Pro options

AAC - Augmentative and Alternative Communication

AAC covers a range of communication methods that support children with complex communication needs. This includes low and high tech communication aids alongside the strategies and training that is needed to support how these aids are used to enhance participation and interaction with others in the home, school and community.

Supporting the use of AAC requires specialist skills from a multidisciplinary team led by a Speech Pathologist in both the assessment of and implementation of the strategies for each individual and importantly, their communication partners.

The Plus and Pro Option will provide children and families the opportunity to explore and fine tune their AAC strategies. Both the Plus and Pro Options are designed to augment their current participation in the Stride, Activate, Reach or PITS programs with the aim to maximise the opportunity to enhance participation.
