Postdoctoral ResearcheR

Postdoc Research Lead – Next-Gen Paediatric Neuro Interventions (Clinic-Embedded)

Imagine embedding within a multidisciplinary clinical team to transform cutting-edge research into real-world therapies that enhance inclusion, participation, and quality of life for children and young adults with neurological conditions. This work is already making a difference at the Healthy Strides Foundation.

We're seeking an exceptional Post Doc Researcher to design and lead high-impact studies on innovative paediatric interventions, leveraging evidence-based practices and state-of-the-art technologies.

Candidates with 0-1 years of research experience post-PhD completion are encouraged to apply for this postdoctoral position.

Neurological conditions affect millions of children worldwide; many still require advanced, personalised solutions. As a postdoc embedded in our clinical environment, you'll accelerate research by analysing therapy outcomes, integrating clinical data, and exploring hypotheses that directly inform patient care and program development.

Every insight you generate brings us closer to better outcomes for real families. You'll join a team pioneering novel therapy frameworks and next-generation tools, in a supportive environment that fosters career growth alongside Perth's vibrant lifestyle and connected research community.

Your tasks will include the following:

  • Contribute to research on evidence-based therapy programs, utilising clinical data from our paediatric interventions.
  • Support the development of clinical care pathways and analyses that clinicians can trust and families can understand.
  • Build systems to evaluate and optimise therapies, learning from every case to accelerate future innovations.
  • Contribute to ambitious, high-impact projects with our world-class clinical and research teams.
  • Publish influential research, supervise students and work closely with clinicians and people with lived experience.

This full-time, 12-month role (with potential for extension based on research grant funding) will be based at our East Victoria Park clinic in Perth, Western Australia.

About You

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:

  • PhD in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Rehabilitation Sciences, Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong background in research methodologies, data analysis, and evidence-based practices in paediatric or neurological contexts.
  • Basic statistical knowledge and proficiency with data analysis software is required.
  • Track record of applying research to solve clinical or biological problems.
  • Clear communicator across disciplines, including with clinicians, families, and stakeholders.

Desirable:

  • Experience in clinical-embedded research, outcome measurement, or technology-driven interventions.
  • Publications in paediatric therapy, neurology, rehabilitation, or precision medicine.
  • Background in neurological conditions, early intervention, or assistive technologies.

We welcome applications from all qualified candidates, regardless of background, and are committed to creating a workplace where everyone is treated with respect and given equal opportunity to succeed.

If you meet many, but not all, of the role requirements, we encourage you to apply. We also welcome you to mention any career breaks in your cover letter to help us understand your journey.

Alongside our inclusive culture, you'll enjoy:

  • 4 weeks of paid annual leave, plus an additional 2 weeks during clinic shutdown periods in July and December.
  • Competitive remuneration package, including salary packaging options.
  • Recognition and professional development opportunities, including access to conferences and training.
  • Modern clinic facilities with state-of-the-art equipment.

How to Apply

If this role feels like the right fit and an exciting new opportunity for you, please submit a single PDF document containing:

  • Your current curriculum vitae.
  • A cover letter (no more than 4 pages) that specifically addresses the skills and experience outlined in the "About You" section.
  • Contact details for at least two professional referees.

Submit applications to Alyson Passauer, Chief Culture Officer, at recruitment@healthystridesfoundation.com by Friday 9th January 2026.

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Note: all shortlisted candidates may be required to complete a short video introduction as part of the selection process.
